English is not only the language of England :) Which of the following English-speaking countries is your favourite? The countries are listed alphabetically. I deliberately separated the sub-countries of the United Kingdom, as I believe they are all very distinct, and also the sense of identity and separateness there is very strong. You can choose up to three countries.

on the other hand it's pretty depressing, really. cos if, say, guys like us go to England those English bastards treat us like some morons just because they've happened to hear people like that :kwasny:

I dunno really what's it like in England cos everytime I try to organise some work it blows up just before holiday break, but I've heard that if you can communicate in good English they're unlike to treat you like some crap ;)

Strangely enough I'm not learning this language so as to go abroad :wstyd:

As to the k-word... pity they don't let people use it in their essays.. a neat way to reach the word minimum without much effort.. to speak endlessly without actually saying a thing.. to fill in the gaps in deranged brains.. to let others know you're a progressive, uninhibited, tough guy

but they do:) maybe not the k-word as a coma (the gentleman in the link above)
but i remember one work from morphology - semantic scope of prefixed verbs in Polish - "jebać" (to have a sexual intercourse) "zajebać" (to criticize sb.) "dojebać" (to make sb feel bad) "wyjebać" (throw sb/sth out) and so on... turns out that they are one of the most productive groups of verbs in Polish... I reckon that no word, used well, can be excluded from any piece of work :cwaniak:

Ok you got me there. But you have proved that to use a word "well" you need some effort, brain effort - not only of the articulatory organs. Linguists may even take interest in this sort of explanations, as for me - I much appreciate the brevity of your sample :P
And there is this other function of "k-words" - which they MIGHT lose if you put them in quotation marks.. All in all seems that to some ppl they're not offensive anymore: they've become too commonplace :/
